Hydrogen will play an important role in clean energy generation while transitioning from traditional fuel sources. In this talk, organised by the DCU IEEE Student Branch, Dr James Carton will discuss their team’s work in developing the necessary technology for running Ireland’s public transport on a clean energy source such as hydrogen.

Dr James Carton is a member of the World Energy Council’s Hydrogen Global initiative and Hydrogen Taskforce Expert to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN-ECE). He has over 20 years of experience and his research focus on energy sustainability through innovative technology development; techno-economic modelling, hydrogen for mobility, and renewable energy storage.
