UK and Ireland Section Signal Processing Chapter Receives Membership Growth Reward
The Signal Processing Society was IEEE’s first society in 1948 and remains the world’s premier professional society for signal processing scientists and professionals.
Signal processing is the enabling technology for the generation, transformation, and interpretation of information. SPS serves its members through high quality publications, conferences, technical and educational activities, and leadership opportunities. Its goal is to keep members abreast of the latest information and to serve the public at large.
Each year, the IEEE Signal Processing Society encourages SPS Chapters to remind members of the benefits of membership and to recruit new members to the society and chapter. It’s Membership Growth Reward provides up to $500 in additional funding for things such as networking events, poster awards, and food for seminars. The UK and Ireland Signal Processing Chapter has achieved the maximum reward for its 2019 membership growth.
Chair of IEEE UK and Ireland Section’s Signal Processing Chapter, Professor Marwan Al-Akaidi commented:
I am delighted to receive this reward in recognition of our success in attracting new members to our chapter. The additional funds will further help us to promote our activities and bring enhanced member benefits.
The entire Section extends their congratulations to Marwan and his team.
