Section Volunteers Recognised at 2021 AGM

The inaugural United Kingdom and Ireland Section Volunteer Recognition Awards were presented at the 2021 AGM which took place online on 24th April 2021.

This new award is in recognition of members who volunteered their time and made a significant contribution to the success of the section activities and mainly to the three top priorities set for 2020-2021:

  1. Getting closer to industry
  2. IEEE Future direction technical initiatives
  3. Humanitarian activities

Six members have been recognised this year.

Volunteer awards were presented to Nick Wainwright, Arijit Bagchi and Farhad Fassihi-Tash

Volunteer awards were also presented to Hamid Pouran, Aneesh Rajeev and Lee Crudgington

This is intended to be an annual award and for 2021 the deadline for submitting a nomination is 15th January 2022.  We look forward to receiving your recommendations.  More details can be found here.
