Expressions of Interest Sought | Provision of a UK and Ireland Section Membership Development Portal

The UK and Ireland is the largest IEEE Section in the world, now serving over 10,000 members.  Membership development has played a key part in this growth and the Section was recently awarded the 2023 IEEE Membership Outstanding Recruitment Performance award from the IEEE Member Recruitment and Recovery (MRR) Committee.

As well as promoting IEEE membership to non-members, the Section continues to encourage membership elevation, including progression from Member to Senior Member status.  In order to provide increased member value, the Section is looking to enhance and streamline this process through the provision of a Membership Development Portal.  This would allow members to apply directly via the portal, upload the required documents, then for the IEEE volunteer due diligence team to assess the candidate and provide feedback.

The UK and Ireland Section seeks expressions of interest from professionals who can provide a cost-effective solution for the portal, based on an existing specification.  The intention is that the portal would be linked from the Section’s WordPress website which resides on a dedicated Linux server, however we are also open to proposals based on third-party cloud solutions.
