IEEE UK & Ireland Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapter | Applications Invited for the Slate of Candidates for the 2024 PES Chapter Officers Election
Members of the IEEE UK and Ireland Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapter are invited to submit applications for consideration to be included on the Slate of Candidates for the 2024 PES Chapter Officers Election.
Full applications should be submitted using the online form received no later than 23:59 BST on 20 September 2024. The link to the online form is provided below:

Interested IEEE UK and Ireland PES Members can self-nominate or be nominated by another IEEE UK and Ireland PES Member. Please note that only the nominee can fill out and submit the application form, the nominator cannot do it on the nominee’s behalf.
It is a requirement that any nominee must be an IEEE member in good standing and a UK and Ireland PES member. The nominee must confirm that all content provided in the application is submitted, confirm they wish to be included on the Slate of Candidates, and ensure they have the time available to fulfil the role if selected.

Officer volunteer roles include: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

Term for each Officer Role: From 01 January 2025 until 31 December 2026
Eligibility for all Officer Roles
- Must be an IEEE Member in good standing
- Must be a member of IEEE Power and Energy Society
- Must be of IEEE Graduate Student Member, Member or Life Member, Senior Member or Senior Life Member, Fellow or Life Fellow Grade
- Must reside in either England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland or Northern Ireland
- Membership of IEEE and IEEE Power & Energy Society must be up to date
Slate of Candidates for Elections
After the application deadline (20 September 2024), the PES Chapter Election Committee will verify the eligibility and qualifications of the candidates. All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
The approved Slate of Candidates will be communicated to all UK and Ireland PES Chapter Members eligible to vote with a link to the ballot within VTools. Election voting will be open for three weeks.
