IEEE UK and Ireland Section | 2025 – 2026 Section Secretary and Treasurer Election Results

Under the IEEE MGA Operations Manual, all IEEE organisational unit (including Sections) are required to run open and transparent elections of officers every two years, with a call for nominations circulated to all eligible members followed by electronic voting via eBallot.

The IEEE UK and Ireland Section Elections Committee launched a Call for Nominations for the Section Secretary and Section Treasurer to serve from 01 January 2025  – 31 December 2026, after which the first slate of candidates was prepared and approved. A petition process was launched after which the final slate of candidates was prepared and approved.

The UK and Ireland Section Election eBallot for Section Secretary and Section Treasurer was available for voting on candidates by eligible voting IEEE UK and Ireland Section Members from 21 November 2024 12:00 AM to 06 December 2024 11:59 PM.

We are pleased to inform you that the following candidates have been elected by IEEE UK and Ireland Section Members to serve the term 01 January 2025 – 31 December 2026:

Section Secretary: Mona Jaber

Section Treasurer: Hoa Lo Minh

We would like to thank all local volunteers who self-nominated in this election process, and encourage those who were unsuccessful on this occasion to continue volunteering with the Section in other roles, including with Chapters, Councils and Affinity Groups.
