IEEE UK and Ireland Celebrates Member Recruitment Performance Award

The IEEE UK and Ireland Section has been awarded the 2023 IEEE Membership Outstanding Recruitment Performance award from the IEEE Member Recruitment and Recovery (MRR) Committee.

IEEE membership development activities are coordinated through the Member and Geographic Activities Board Membership Recruitment and Recovery (MRR) Committee.

The MRR Committee creates, promotes, and monitors appropriate and effective membership development programs to increase IEEE membership.

Commenting on receiving the award, 2023 Section Chair Professor Izzet Kale said:

I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of the UK and Ireland Section.  This prestigious award recognises the Section’s efforts and achievements in growing and retaining its members.  I would like to thank all the colleagues who have worked hard to make this possible, especially the membership team, student branches, chapter chairs and young professionals

We are now the largest Section of IEEE in the world, with a rich history of organising events, conferences, workshops, and webinars to promote IEEE’s mission and vision.

I am honoured to be part of this diverse and vibrant community of engineers, scientists and professionals.  Together we shall continue to advance technology for the benefit of humanity.
