Society on Social Implications of Technology

This lecture will describe the "Robotics for Equality and Democracy" STEM and educational robotics program deployed in Tunisian public schools as a partnership between IEEE Tunisia Chapter SIGHT and the academic inspection for primary education of Dar Chaabane II, Nabeul, Tunisia Republic.

This presentation unpacks the contradictions in urban robotics, suggests how to avoid doing harm to humans, and encourages critical discussion about which version of the intelligent urban future we are building.   

This presentation will cover the latest advances on technology ethics and two IEEE initiatives namely IEEE 7000 standard and the Ethics Certification Programme for Autonomous and Intelligent Systems (ECPAIS).

This SSIT Distinguished Lecture focuses on social implications and ethical issues to be considered when co-designing and implementing interventions in resource-constrained environments.

This talk will present strategies based on experience, to make solar electric systems long term sustainable so that communities can continue to receive the benefits of electricity for the long term.
