Abstract
The IEEE PES Women in Power Committees of UK and Ireland and Chile are proud to invite you to the first joint webinar of 2021 on The Future of Hydrogen – Outlooks in Chile and the UK and Ireland.
This will be an excellent opportunity to find out more about what it takes to reach carbon neutrality with the help of hydrogen and other low carbon technologies in transport, from the perspectives of the two countries.
About the Speakers
Veronica Puga is working on developing a green hydrogen energy policy in Chile. Veronica will share the main insights of the National Green Hydrogen Strategy, with a special focus on the key perspectives (quantities, costs, locations, international competition and carbon neutrality) and the role of transport within this high-level strategy.
Despina Yiakoumi is a Transport Analyst at Energy Systems Catapult in the UK. Despina will compare different low carbon technologies for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) in the freight sector, and tell us more about the effects of infrastructure and policy on their uptake. Finally, she will explain how the decisions within the HGV freight sector could impact the whole energy system.
