University of Strathclyde IEEE Student Branch Tap into Energy Series | How do we keep the Lights on and Radiators Warm?
Come join as at Coopers for a series of exciting events, where experts in the UK’s energy system will be explaining how our energy system works, and what it could be like in the future as we transition to net-zero. The aim is to be accessible, so if you’ve never thought about what happens when you switch your lights, but want to know more – these events are for you!
Each event will focus on a different topic, and will assume minimal prior knowledge. We’d love it if you came to all three though! Our events should leave you with a greater understanding of the UK energy systems, what’s driving energy costs, and what the future could look like!
Session 1: How do we keep the lights on and radiators warm? How we use energy in the UK, and where we get it from.
Please note: If you have any accessibility needs, please contact us upon registration at unionsociety-ieee.sb@strath.ac.uk to make arrangements.
