PES Chapter Webinar | Quality Assurance of Transformers, by Ronnie Minhaz, P.Eng. President, Transformer Consulting Services, Inc.
Abstract
The manufacturing of transformers is integrated to global supply chain. With the improvements in technology, the design and manufacturing of transformers can be more aggressive such as reduced clearance and use of pure mineral oil during FAT to ensure the passing of tests during FAT.
Clean room and environmental conditions can be compromised during the manufacturing process and this can have an impact on the life expectancy of the transformer.
This presentation will walk through the quality assurance of transformers during their manufacture.
