IEEE Virtual Workshop | Re-engineering Research in Engineering and Technology During Post-Covid 19

With the exception of biomedical research, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant effect on research activities and this situation will likely continue in the short-term.  The effect can be characterised in many ways, including funding flow, physical presence in laboratories, group data analysis and synthesis, supply of research materials and equipment and also the termination of contracts to control expenses.

This workshop looks at both the short-term and long-term stress in engineering and technology research as well as the long-term impact of a weak project pipeline.

• Key questions that need to be addressed post-pandemic
• Practical next steps in how to balance the research

This workshop is organised by UK & Ireland Chapters of IEEE Consumer Electronics & Broadcast Technology Society and IEEE Technology & Engineering Management Society in collaboration with the Society for Information Organization, India.
