5th IEEE UK & Ireland RAS Conference | Disruptive Technologies for the New Normal – University of Edinburgh
About the event
Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) are playing a central role in developing innovative tools that help us address various global challenges – enabling us to get things done more efficiently, safely, and in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner.
The annual IEEE UK & Ireland RAS conference will be hosted by Professor Sethu Vijayakumar at the University of Edinburgh on 23 February 2022 and is co-organised by the Alan Turing Institute and the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics. The registration deadline is 20th February.
This interactive event is targeted at robotics practitioners – PhD students, PDRAs, researchers from academia, and industry professionals – to discuss ‘blue sky’ and high-risk ‘moonshot’ ideas.
We encourage early-stage researchers (research students and postdocs) to submit a contribution for the poster competition at the 2022 IEEE UK & I RAS Conference.
Download template. Please send the poster submissions in pdf format to h.wurdemann@ucl.ac.uk.
A key focus will be exploring opportunities and solutions to address current and ongoing challenges across all sectors (due to COVID 19 and beyond) and how RAS can play a key role in economic recovery.
The Chapter has successfully hosted RAS conferences since 2017. Due to COVID 19, we missed RAS2021. Now, we cordially invite universities and industry interested in RAS to attend the conference and share your experience in the field of RAS and to promote the development of and collaboration in RAS.
