3rd IEEE UK & Ireland Young Professionals Postgraduate STEM Research Symposium
Registration and abstract submission are now open for the 3rd IEEE UK & Ireland Young Professionals Postgraduate STEM Research Symposium. You are invited to register and/or forward this to your contacts who may benefit from this free one-day virtual symposium.
Participants of past events (https://vimeo.com/320782640/a3402dcbbf) have found this symposium very helpful.
The general theme of the event is ‘The future of STEM in a shifting landscape’. A panel discussion on this theme, featuring established experts, will cover interesting topic areas.
The symposium will be online and is scheduled for the 10th November 2021.
This is an opportunity for early career STEM researchers, especially PhD, MSc and MPhil students, to present their research, receive feedback, network with leading experts, and explore the possibilities of turning research to enterprise. The symposium is open to everyone with interest in STEM (students, academics, and non-academics) across the UK & Ireland and beyond. The features of the symposium include:
- Keynote
- Oral and Poster Presentations
- Workshops
- Panel Discussion
- Networking
- Awards
For an opportunity to present at the symposium and win an award, an abstract (maximum of 500 words) is required (full paper is not required). Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to give an oral and/or poster presentation at the symposium.
Postgraduate (PhD/MSc) students are encouraged to submit early stage and established research.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 1st October 2021 at 17:00 BST (GMT+1). See link below for full details and registration.
Remember that making a submission is not required to attend the free symposium. However, registration is required so you can receive joining information.
