Event Report 3 | WESYP 2023 Congress, EPFL Lausanne, Switzerland by Amin Nassaj
The WESYP 2023 Congress took place between 15th and 17th September 2023 at Ecole Polytechnique Federale Lausanne (EPFL) and it provided a great opportunity to bring together IEEE members from Region 8.
Here Amin Nassaj, PhD Researcher in Smart Energy Systems at the University of Leeds, gives his personal perspective on attending WESYP 2023 Congress.
It was a great chance to attend the IEEE Western European Students and Young Professionals (WESYP 2023) congress in Lausanne, Switzerland, September 15-17, 2023.
This event provided me with an opportunity to meet committee members of student branches and young professionals of IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Middle East & Africa). Participating in several talks and workshops, broadening my network, enriching my knowledge, and presenting my poster were the main activities during this fruitful congress.
Thanks to the appropriate organization and hospitality of the IEEE student branch of EPFL, it was a truly enjoyable experience. I do appreciate IEEE UK and Ireland Student Activities and the University of Leeds for their support in enabling me to participate in this event.
