2nd Career Development Workshop | Electrical and Electronic Engineering Career Path to Net Zero – Call for Posters (Extended)

Join us on 4th October at the University of Nottingham to chart the path to Net Zero and advancing your career in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Share your insights, network with professionals, and gain valuable perspectives.

This is a full day workshop in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, sponsored by IEEE Women in Engineering, IEEE Power Electronics Society, IEEE Nanotechnology, and ZF Group. Hosted by the Power Electronic and Machines Centre at the University of Nottingham, this event promises a dynamic platform for students and researchers to present their work, receive feedback, and engage with experts.

Theme: Career Path to Net Zero in EEE

This workshop brings together pioneers from academia and industry to showcase diverse efforts towards achieving Net Zero within the realm of electrical and electronic engineering. It also features a panel discussion on career development in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, where seasoned professionals will share insights and guidance.

Submission Guidelines:

We invite you to submit your poster presentations (size A1), spotlighting your projects, research, and innovations aligned with the theme of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Presentation Format:

Authors of accepted posters will present in person at the workshop on 4th October. Posters will be printed by the organiser and displayed.

Awards and Travel Support:

  • Best presenters will be awarded £50 + a free PELS membership.
  • Limited travel expense support (up to £15) is available upon advanced request via email.

Important Dates:

  • Registration Open – 10th September 2023
  • Poster submission – 22nd September 2023
  • Poster presentation – 4th October 2023
