2021 Outstanding Chapter Runners-Up Award | IEEE UK and Ireland Power and Energy Society Chapter
The Section is delighted to announce that IEEE UK and Ireland Power and Energy Society Chapter was recognised as the runner-up of the IEEE PES Outstanding Chapter Award for the Large Chapter Category. This recognition means that the Chapter will receive $250 and a recognition certificate.
This year, the winner of the Large Chapter award was Kerala, and the Small Chapter award was went to Western Australia.
The IEEE PES Outstanding Chapter Award recognises a PES Chapter for achieving excellence in providing its members with the best overall programs and activities. Each year the Power and Energy Society Outstanding Chapter Award is given to the Chapter that is judged to provide the most outstanding overall contribution and service to its members in the following categories:
- Technical
- Educational and Student Activities
- Societal Activities
- Affinity Groups (WIE, WiP, YP)
- Membership Advancement
- PES Conferences
- Fellow Nominations and Awards
- Chapter Operations, Communications Channels
- Enlistment of New PES Members
